Located about an hour from downtown San José, visitors are encouraged to drop by for a cuddle or even bring their dog to run and hike with them.
“To look out and see hundreds of dogs running across the field was completely breathtaking to me. I’ve never seen anything like it,” – one of the visitors based in Nicaragua.
Lya Battle who is the founder and her husband began taking in strays from the streets of San Jose about 13 years ago. As the number of dogs increased, she started the process of moving them to the farm owned by her grandfather.
